Crohn's disease, also called Regional Enteritis, is a chronic inflammation of the intestines which is usually confined to the terminal portion of the small intestine, the ileum. Ulcerative colitis is a similar inflammation of the colon, or large intestine. These and other IBDs (inflammatory bowel disease) have been linked with an increased risk of colorectal cancer. Crohn's disease is also known as Granulomatous ; or Colitis . It primarily causes abdominal pain, diarrhea ( may be bloody), vomiting, or weight loss. How is Crohn's Disease inherited? Inheritance of Crohn's disease refers to whether the condition is inherited from your parents or "runs" in families. The level of inheritance of a condition depends on how important genetics are to the disease.

Treatment
Anti diarrheal medicine as needed
Antispasmodic medication as needed-->Hyoscyamine
Medications for treating Crohn's:
Sulfasalazine
Corticosteroids (steroids)--> Prednisone
Immune therapy drugs, such as Azathioprine or Mercaptopurine
Surgery may be needed for fistulas, abscesses (infections), or bowel obstructions
